Dutch Trance legend Armin van Buuren recently released his long-awaited 7th studio album ‘Balance’ and to celebrate this, he also announced 2 shows in the Ziggo Dome, one of Amsterdams many event locations.

During this year’s edition of Amsterdam Dance Event, when he also revealed the theme for ‘A State of Trance Festival 950 – Let the Music Guide You – Armin sat down exclusively with Deezer to discuss his new album and went into detail on each track and what they mean to him. For those who haven’t listened to the album yet, it is very different from what we know Armin for, dipping into various genres and tells the story how he needed to find a balance between work and personal life as well as his developments as an artist.

“It’s a departure from the trancey Armin van Buuren that you may know” – Armin van Buuren

One of the most emotional parts he’s speaking about is when he’s speaking about his song ‘Wild Wild Son’ which, he says, is dedicated to the love he has for his son and ‘the message is don’t be afraid to live, don’t be afraid to make mistakes – I will love you whatever happens”.The son that was born just before Armin performed on Tomorrowland’s mainstage in 2013 when he came straight from the hospital to the stage and dedicated his whole set to him and we can guarantee that there has never been a more emotional set that he has ever played.

The full interview is available exclusively on Deezer, however, it requires a Deezer subscription and the whole album is available on major streaming platforms including Apple Music, Spotify and of course on Deezer as well. Have you listened to the album yet? If not, check it out and let us know what you think!
