Grammy-award winning Australien producer and DJ Flume landed a couple of headlines this year, especially for his Burning Man performance, his recently released, Grammy-nominated mixtape ‘Hi This Is Flume’ and recently sliding into Rihanna‘s inbox suggesting a collaboration between him and the Barbadian pop-star.

In an interview with Billboard, Flume now announced that he’s working on a new album for 2020 that he wants to finish within the first 4 months of the year.

“At the start of the new year, I’m on a mission,” he says. “I want to try and write a record in four months. I’m just going to chill until then, and then I’m just going all hands on deck, dedicated to getting it done. I’m planning on doing some traveling solo … Trying to stimulate my creativity as much as impossible. The idea of an album is not so stressful after doing the mixtape. I’m really looking forward to it and seeing what happens, seeing what comes out.”

Additionally, the rise of Flume doesn’t appear to stop as he was recently announced to be one of the live headliners for Ultra Music Festival 2020 in Miami, FL leveling with the big names for the likes of Zedd, Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Fisher, Eric Prydz and Tale Of Us. With 2020, and with it the next decade, being just around the corner, we’re all looking forward to new music that’s going to be shaping the dance music industry with every release playing a major role in forming the sound of the 2020s and beyond.
