Sonny Fodera, MK and Clementine Douglas unite on ‘Asking’: Listen
What a team-up this is. Sonny Fodera and MK combined once more after their smash-hit One Night with Raphaella to bring another vocal production featuring none other than the super-talented Clementine Douglas: Asking.
It was about time that Sonny Fodera and MK followed up on their incredible piano house hit One Night with Raphaella. For this collaboration, they have enlisted the unbelievably talented Clementine Douglas to add her magical voice to the fray. Asking is a track that is centered around Clementine’s vocals, which further proves that the decision made by Sonny and MK to involve her was right on point. As almost every release of his, Asking has been released on Sonny Fodera’s Solotoko.
Just like One Night was back in 2019, Asking brings out the best in Sonny Fodera and MK. Featuring mesmerizing, but at the same time aggressive vocals of Clementine Douglas, Asking leaves no space for a breather, constantly inviting the listener to dance away into the night. A pumping bassline in both drops is accompanied by an aggressive vocal chop of Clementine’s voice. The buildups are also a nice switch-up from the usual tech house buildups. The rising drums are still present, but alongside them is a rendition of the breakbeat. This is not the first time that Clementine Douglas used her energetic voice so effortlessly. Her voice was one of the prime reasons why Miracle Maker by Dom Dolla was such a massive commercial success.
Sonny Fodera’s summer is full of magic and like most DJs in the summer season, he also has his own Ibiza summer residency. For this season he teamed up with Gorgon City to bring their summer residency over to the world-renowned Amnesia in Ibiza, featuring support from the legendary Danny Howard and Greta Levska. Expect Asking to do some damage over there all the way until 25th September when the residency officially closes. Asking is out now on platforms and you can listen to it below.
