Mau P darkens and enhances the beats of ‘Ray Of Solar‘, giving Swedish House Mafia‘s work a clubbing feel.

‘Ray Of Solar’ is on everyone’s lips worldwide and it looks like it’ll stay that way. In July this year, Swedish House Mafia presented ‘Ray Of Solar’ to the world during their highly anticipated performance at the KappaFutur Festival in Turin. The reaction was magnanimous and in unison. For those who expected it, the Swedish trio presented their fans with a track that summed up the energy and sound that represents SHM so well. It was a wow effect that reverberated everywhere and hasn’t faded.

At the end of August, the influential trio announced the release of three remixes of their masterpiece. They promised it and delivered. The first reimagined version came from Alex Wann & Sasson and appeared shortly after the announcement, on the first day of September. Now it’s the turn of the remix designed by Dutch sensation Mau P, and all that’s left is next week’s scheduled rendition by techno princess Anfisa Letyago. Already available on the usual platforms, this captivating remix by Mau P comes shortly after the release of the official music video for ‘Ray Of Solar’.

See The Light‘ and ‘Ray Of Solar’ are the two already-known selections from Swedish House Mafia’s upcoming album. A brilliant LP is to be expected, and not only when you look at the names of the tracks. September is the month dedicated to ‘Ray Of Solar’, the moment chosen to release the music video and also the bundle of remixes that includes Mau P’s incredible interpretation.

Mau P is one of the many artists inspired by the career and sound of Swedish House Mafia. Therefore, the production of this remix was very emotionally charged, as he says: “They’re the reason I went down this path and this remix is truly a full circle moment.”

Mau P’s skills in the studio are no secret and here they are crystal clear. The young producer turns to the underground sphere and adds a new depth to ‘Ray Of Solar’. Keeping the orchestral elements and the lyrical vocals, Mau P rearranges the drum ratio and gives free rein to arpeggiation. The bass line is expanded and textured, overlaying the original fabric with darker elements. The result is a track ready for the floor, elegant, deep and with a high power that captivates. Listen to it below.
