Desert Queen‘ is Adam Beyer‘s fourth original release this year.

Adam Beyer is making 2023 his year. It’s only October and the Drumcode boss has released his fourth original release of the year, making it his most prolific to date. After ‘Legend‘, ‘Simulator‘ with Green Velvet, and ‘Robotic Arms‘, Adam Beyer adds another fabulous EP to his CV. The two-tracker ‘Desert Queen’ is now available on the usual streaming and download platforms, via Drumcode of course.

The release of Desert Queen couldn’t have been more honourable, taking place during ADE, a week when Beyer and his label had a packed schedule of important events. Awakenings at the mythical Gashouder, a b2b with Reinier Zonneveld at the Ziggo Dome, the Numero Magazine party at Levenslang, a set at a former prison and a Drumcode Centraal pop-up store. It was a busy week, which included the brand new ‘Desert Queen’ in all its glory.

On the recently renamed social network X, Beyer described this as his favourite launch of 2023.

‘Desert Queen’ was finished very shortly before its release and contains some very powerful elements. It’s both celestial and striking, showcasing crafty vocals from Ofra Harza. The vocal arrangement is sassy, disruptive and highly hypnotic. ‘Desert Queen’ is a track ready for clubbing, with a powerful bassline that throws you into the dancefloor. It’s not linear, it’s progressive and full, showcasing Adam Beyer’s internationally recognised skills. It’s a beautiful piece of modern techno.

Soulful‘ offers a totally different soundscape from the title track. Instead of clear vocals, it exalts curious and captivating murmurs. Less deep, ‘Soulful’ does justice to its name by bringing more soul and groove. Although more bouncy, it has a very assertive and punctuated beat. It’s a delicious techno uplifting that won’t leave you indifferent.
