LP Giobbi releases feel good remix of Taylor Swift’s ‘Cruel Summer’: Listen

LP Giobbi has released her latest remix that puts a new spin on Taylor Swift’s vastly popular ‘Cruel Summer.’

There’s no argument that Taylor Swift is currently the most recognizable pop star in the entire world. Currently in the middle of one of the most successful tours in music history, ‘The Eras’ Tour, she is still finding ways to release new material for fans to listen to. However, her latest release is not a new original song, but rather, a remix of her widely popularized ‘Cruel Summer.’ The artist getting the nod to remix ‘Cruel Summer’ is none other than house music star LP Giobbi.

LP Giobbi’s stock in the electronic world has risen exponentially over the last two years as she continues to deliver beautifully crafted tracks time in and time out. And now, her legend will take a huge leap forward as she releases her biggest remix to date. Giobbi’s take on ‘Cruel Summer’ delivers a new angle on the song we have all come to hear over the last eight months. It’s not every day Taylor Swift gives the green light to a remix, but after one listen, it’s easy to see why this one got the nod.

While the tempo is sped up and centered around a house beat, the remix takes on a more laid-back identity compared to the original. The chord progression LP Giobbi creates is breathtaking and incredibly emotional. Swift’s vocals fit incredibly well over this instrumental. And towards the end, Giobbi even introduces another synth melody over the top that gives the remix one final exciting push to finish out.

And yes, if you are wondering, the bridge hits just as hard as the original.
