The dynamic Dutch duo, Showtek, comprised of Sjoerd and Wouter Janssen, has made an emphatic return to the hardstyle scene, marking their comeback with the announcement of a hard-hitting album. The album’s debut single, ‘Dear Hardstyle,’ holds a special place for the brothers as it delves deep into their profound love for the hardstyle scene and the music that ignited their journey.

In articulating their sentiment, the duo expressed, ‘With ‘Dear Hardstyle,’ we aimed to craft a track that encapsulates the enduring presence of the scene in our lives and the unity that hardstyle fosters. This track allowed us to convey our emotions and passion for the music in a way we haven’t explored before.’ Collaborating with American artist and singer-songwriter Earl St. Clair adds a unique touch to the heartfelt track.

The unveiling of ‘Dear Hardstyle‘ took place during Showtek’s highly anticipated return performance at Qlimax 2023 in the Dutch Gelredome stadium, Arnhem. The exclusive hardstyle set marked their comeback after a 15-year hiatus from the genre. During this performance, Showtek thrilled fans by announcing the release of a hardstyle album in 2024, with ‘Dear Hardstyle‘ serving as the lead single. The forthcoming album will also feature collaborations with esteemed artists such as Sub Zero Project, Dj Isaac, and Wildstylez.

In addition to the album release, the duo disclosed plans for a tour to accompany their new hardstyle venture, titled “360 Blue.” The tour, comprising a select number of exclusive shows in 2024 and 2025, is described by Showtek as ‘an opportunity for both longstanding and newfound fans to become part of the legacy and witness what lies ahead.’ To be continued.

Showtek’s journey has been marked by significant shifts, notably their successful transition from hardstyle to EDM in 2013. This period saw the duo produce solo hits and collaborate with industry giants such as Hardwell and David Guetta, with standout tracks including ‘Cannonball‘ (2012), ‘Booyah‘ (2013), and ‘Bad‘ (2014).
