Tinlicker and Tom Smith euphoric single ‘This Life’: Listen

Fans of the exciting duo, Tinlicker, are building their anticipation for the groups next album, due out in February next year. Now the Dutch duo enlist the services of one of their favorite frontmen to complete their emotional new single ahead of the album.

Opening with a luscious synth pad and a beautiful layer of vocals from Tom Smith, singer for the Editors, who’s crooning deliver is reminiscent of Chris Martin from Coldplay combined with the massive emotional waves of U2’s Bono. Smith’s crooning of ‘Ooh This Life,’ will immediately grab listeners, invoking a deep emotional connection from the first listen.

For Tinlicker, the duo celebrates the magical vocal by delivering a heart warming production underneath, subtle yet powerful, as they allow Smith to shine throughout the four minutes of music. Taking to Instagram, the duo revealed their elation at working with the Editors frontman, as well as the excitement of their upcoming musical journey:

It’s magical that when you grow older life can still be full of surprises… like receiving vocals from the singer of a band (Editors) we’ve been long-time fans of. Signing with [PIAS] paved the path to work together, and Tom Smith’s singing and writing instantly clicked with the song we wrote. Fitting enough ’This Life’ became our bright new single. The second one after ‘Slipstream’ of our album ‘Cold Enough For Snow’ that will come out in February.

While the end of the calendar year tends to slow down for the music industry, Tinlicker is clearing just warming up for 2024, as This Life is a fitting single to close out the year.
