Home Editorials T78 closing 2023 in style: A look back at an incredible year

Bringing 2023 to the ultimate close, we will be taking a look back at incredible year for the techno titan himself, T78, with the Italian DJ/Producer having released an abundance of new music, and of course, having performed at the most renowned of venues and events worldwide.

Taking over the dance scene with each of his endeavours, T78 (real name Manuele Tessarollo) is the epitome of an act that has not only mastered his craft to the utmost of perfection, but at the same time, has also ensured that nothing less than the most hard-hitting of vibes are on full display throughout his career. Approaching Techno in the most unique of manners, each of his productions speak volumes of the undeniable musical prowess that he possesses, whilst his attention to detail, has most definitely helped him stand out from all the rest.

Elevating his presence on the daily, 2023 was a remarkable year for the Italian DJ/Producer, having released an abundance of new music, and of course, having performed at a vast array of well-renowned festivals and events worldwide. Showing no signs of slowing down, T78 had fans alike in quite the frenzy all throughout this year, with the Autektone Records boss, delivering banger after banger. Exploring the endless possibilities that surround Techno, and electronic music as a whole, tracks in the form of ‘Monster Truck,’ ‘Icon,’ ‘Lucid Dream,’ ‘Blasterhawk,’ ‘Laser Bolt,’ ‘Bionatops,’ ‘Tektones #12,’ ‘Optik,’ ‘Steam Room,’ ‘Hell or Heaven,’ ‘Ikarus‘ and ‘Another Dimension,’ further illustrated the genius mind of this highly-acclaimed act, making him one to watch in 2023.

“Tektones is a compilation that has been released every six months since the beginning of the label’s life. I always try to bundle new music from new talent and also use it as a showcase for myself where I occasionally include more than one track. Specifically this time I am present with two tracks, one hard techno as Activator and another one, Hard Trance as T78 in collaboration with Housework and Ducamp. The remix of “Push to start” instead came out in one afternoon, I was very inspired by the vocal hook and I decided to create a typically T78 beat around it without drawing any elements from the original track. The final result is clearly #onlybombs” – T78 on Tektones

Raising the bar in the most immersive of fashions, T78 delivered the most energetic of live performances all throughout 2023, with key events and venues including; Egg London (London), INPUT (Barcelona), The Liquid Room (Edinburgh), Het Sieraad (Amsterdam), Toffler (Rotterdam), Kesselhaus (Berlin), Close FESTYL (Düsseldorf), BlackWorks Salamanca, Fabrik (Madrid), E1 (London), Open Beatz Festival (Germany), Le Jardin Électronique (France), VERKNIPT ADE (NL), Holika Fest, Aquasella, Verknipt Festival Utrecht, Groove (Buenos Aires), Enjoy (Santiago Chile), Home (Sidney) and Third Day (Melbourne) when just naming a few.

Bringing the year to a close, T78 still has some up and coming releases on the books, with fans alike preparing themselves for the ultimate ending to an unforgettable 2023. Arriving just before the Christmas holidays, T78’s remix of Noizu and Westend’s hit track, ‘Push To Start,’ is definitely one to watch out for, and of course, the man of the moment’s finest collection of 16 techno bangers will be released at the very end of December, as ‘Tektones #13‘ will act as the perfect epilogue to a year that was filled with hits after hits, and live performances that alike them had yet to be seen.
