Elvis Presley making 2024 comeback via AI Hologram Tour

Elvis Presley is soon to make a return to the stage. The Presley estate is embracing AI to produce an immersive show, where a digital incarnation of Presley takes the stage for a “live” concert experience. Entitled the “Elvis Evolution“, the show was meticulously crafted by Layered Reality (Primarily known for their production of The Gunpowder Plot and War of Worlds).
Layered Reality’s CEO, Andrew McGuinness, declares, ‘The King of Rock’n’Roll is making a comeback!’ In a promotional video, He announced that the arrival of the experience is scheduled for November 2024 in London. In addition to London, “Elvis Evolution” will plan for a global tour later in Las Vegas, Tokyo, and Berlin. In addition to the live performance, an Elvis-themed bar and restaurant will be available to visit at the central London venue, featuring live music, DJs, and performances.

The project was heavily inspired by the success of Abba Voyage, a show in which life-size avatars of the Swedish pop group performed as they did in 1979. This 90-minute show required a whopping £140 million investment across seven years of development. The Abba Voyage show has surpassed 1.3 million ticket sales in its first year, sparking rumors of an upcoming global tour. With the success of AI-powered performances, one can only wonder how the role of digital performances will advance in the coming years and the effect it will have on the live entertainment industry as a whole.
