Thanks to the internet and social media, the world’s humans have all new ways of connecting and impacting the masses. Kenny Beats provided one of the most unique stories following a kind gesture back in 2020.

Like many stories these days, it all started with a viral post to Twitter/X where a young child can be seen shirtless, recording into a phone hung off the top bunk, with the caption “he supposed to be cleaning the room not in the damn studio.” The image was a hit as people around the world were stuck inside during the Covid-19 pandemic, and the post even caught the attention of Kenny Beats. The producer appreciated the young kid’s make-shift setup and colorful headphones and decided to help him with a bit of an upgrade.

Kenny Beats connected with the bedroom producer, whose name is Ray, and shared a moment on social media following the original post. Recognizing the need for some better quality studio equipment, Beats provided $20,000 in gear to help the young artist out. Like most viral moments, the hype passed and so did a few years. Of course, social media never forgets, and a user recently posted, asking about whatever happened to Ray.

Kenny Beats was more than happy to provide an update. In a response, the producer says after providing the equipment, Ray gained 40,000 followers in minutes. The true fun in the story is the next part of it, where Kenny states, “Then he started going live with strippers for 6 hours a day on insta; Seems like it all worked out.” Kind of wild but like Kenny Beats said, it seems like it all worked out.
