Mau P had been playing ‘Beats For The Underground’ in his DJ sets for the entirety of 2023

2023 was undoubtedly a big year for Dutch wunderkind Mau P. Since his big hit ‘Drugs From Amsterdam‘, the DJ and music producer has been on an upward journey that his tracks have also become accustomed to – all the way to the top of the charts. Last year, Mau P used a track in his sets that drove his fans addicted, creating a craving for this bubbling dance tune. Now, after a long wait, he has finally released ‘Beats For The Underground’, which is already available on major streaming and download platforms. This track marks the Dutch artist’s return to Lee Foss’ Repopulate Mars, which has already welcomed his groundbreaking work.

Has Mau P ever produced anything that wasn’t a hit? Maybe not. ‘Drugs From Amsterdam’ garnered 200 million streams, shortly followed by ‘Metro‘ with Kevin de Vries. His other productions ‘Gimme That Bounce’, ‘Your Mind Is Dirty’ and ‘Dress Code’ also performed enviably in the charts. Now, you can listen incessantly to ‘Beats For The Underground’, the track that was born a real hit.

Mau P reinvigorates the essence of top-quality tech house with this track. The bassline is bouncy and bright, perfect for filling the dancefloor. The vocals evoke the cadence of hip-hop, giving it an urban, fresh and super cool character. The high percussion is incredibly well crafted, offering a shower of claps that give it energy and good humour. The drop is sublime, unleashing real wow moments.

2024 is off to a great start for Mau P, not only with this release but also with the announcement of his Las Vegas residency at Encore Beach Club and XS Nightclub, as well as a weekly show on XXX Radio with SiriusXM on Diplo‘s Revolution.
