Robin Schulz, Topic, and Oaks deliver anthemic single ‘One by One’: Listen

Robin Schulz is wasting new time in dropping new music in 2024, teaming up with Topic and Oaks for an incredibly fun new sing-a-long. This new vocal forward single provides something for fans of electronic music everywhere.

With the official festival season still a few weeks away, producers are unloading their IDs from 2023 while getting ready to return to the stage in the new year, armed with fresh tracks, edits, and IDs. Robin Shulz is continuing his strong output, this time getting some help from Topic and Swedish vocalist Oaks. Opening with a sparse foundation of synths and percussion, Oaks takes center stage immediately. Her soft yet compelling vocal delivery draws listeners into the track as she shows off her range and falsetto throughout the track.

Musically, Robin Schulz and Topic do their part to match her performance and lyrics. While often relying on the concept of a ‘less is more’ approach to the track, the two producers create an atmosphere as much as a driving energy. With pitch-bending synths making up the verse, the introduction of the four-to-the-floor kick and sleek lead in the drop feels further amplified in contrast.

One By One is a beautiful work, that refuses to be defined by rational dance music or any other pop genre, but instead bursts with influence and creativity throughout. While it would be no surprise to find the track on regular rotation via radio stations and playlists throughout 2024, it offers plan of space for exciting edits and mash-ups when Schulz and Topic take the stage.
