Home Featured Amsterdam Essentials: everything you need to know for Don’t Let Daddy Know 2024

Ahead of the 10th anniversary of Don’t Let Daddy Know in Amsterdam, we’re giving attendees a guide of everything you need to know from the area and venue down to the essential hotel to stay in.

On March 2, Don’t Let Daddy Know will once again return to the iconic Ziggo Dome venue in Amsterdam for its 10th anniversary edition. With a huge multi-genre lineup with some of the hottest names in electronic music – soon to sell out – thousands of fans will flock from multiple cities and countries. To get the best out of the experience, we’ve put together a handy guide featuring everything you need to know about making the most of Amsterdam.

THE HOTEL

Situated in the heart of Amsterdam inside one of the city’s most iconic tourist hotspots, Sir Adam is boldly located within the A’DAM Tower. A one-of-a-kind hotel experience, it is designed with more than sleep in mind, focusing also on experience. With the Tower also housing music giants such as Sony, Sir Adam is appropriately also focused around music.

“We have some of Europe’s greatest music talents as our neighbours,so it made sense to create a space to not only complement but also nurture that energy. Sir is all about delivering the quality and service that every modern traveller expects, while connecting them to the zeitgeist of the neighbourhood.” – Sir Hotels’ founder and owner Liran Wizman.

Not only featuring multiple different room options to suit the budget of anyone travelling to Amsterdam (designed meticulously by New York-based studio ICRAVE), it also features social and entertainment spaces. To complement and keep in mind the original structure of the A’DAM Tower, each room features raw concrete pillars and exposed ceilings with a cool colour scheme to suit the modern day traveller. For those who are wanting to soundtrack their stay with the right music, the vinyl library in the hotel lobby allows guests to choose record players to take up to their rooms.

It was a pleasure to collaborate with a bevy of local emerging artists on the commissioned pieces in the hotel. Most notably, the dynamic duo of Telmo & Miel did a fantastic job on the  double-height mural featuring an androgynous cyborg, and Floor Bijkersma created two lenticular compositions on the bar and reception desk that deal with the fleeting and tenuous conditions of fame.” said Jesse MacDougall, Director of Strategy and Brand Development at ICRAVE

The Hub is a haven for people to socialise with friends, but also a music lover’s dream where the worlds of music and relaxation can combine.

Focused on burgers, beer, booze and breakfast, this is the central hub for anything food & drink related from morning to evening. With added room service, the expansive menu will leave anyone spoiled for choice.

In terms of the lineup, this is equally as spectacular. Headlined by the one and only Hardwell, he’s set to take fans on a spectacular journey through his new sound, in a performance that can’t be missed. Just before his set, Nicky Romero will take fans through a whirlwind set of his biggest hits. Following his recent Nightvision show last December, his sets are proving not to be missed. Also on the night are energetic, feel-good duos Lucas & Steve, Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman and Blasterjaxx. Not all, Soundrush and Radical Redemption will be representing the harder styles of dance music with their hardstyle sounds, and Toby Romeo will be opening the night from 10PM.
