Brian Eno, the renowned music producer, has announced the release of a soundtrack for his groundbreaking documentary, ‘Eno’. The soundtrack, set to release on April 19, features a nearly-six-minute, industrial and jazzy unreleased instrumental track titled “Lighthouse #429”.

Brian Peter George Eno, known as Eno, is an English musician, composer, record producer, and visual artist. Born on May 15, 1948, in Melton, Suffolk, England, Eno is renowned for his contributions to ambient music and electronica, and has also produced, recorded, and written works in rock and pop music.

The soundtrack from the documentary comprises 17 tracks spanning the entire musical career of Brian Eno, from his early work in the Seventies to his 2022 album Foreverandevernomore. It also includes three previously unreleased songs, one of which is “Lighthouse #429”. This track originates from Eno’s Sonos Radio Station “The Lighthouse,” which plays unreleased tunes from his archive. This marks the first song from the station to be commercially released.

Renowned music producer Brian Eno is pushing the boundaries of sound and technology with his latest venture. His groundbreaking documentary, ‘Eno’, not only showcases his musical prowess but also his innovative use of generative artificial intelligence. Director Gary Hustwit employed generative artificial intelligence in the film to shuffle parts of the documentary, ensuring no two screenings of the film are exactly the same.

Eno, in a statement, shared his creative process: “Picasso once said: ‘Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working’. I don’t wait to be inspired: I start working and (if I’m lucky) I become ‘inspired.’ And if I’m not lucky I keep at it until my luck changes. I’m obstinate and confident that I will get somewhere in the end if I keep at it”.

The physical LP and CD release date will arrive on June 7. This soundtrack is a testament to Eno’s innovative approach to music and his commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
