Although he became a household name around the world thanks to the success of his third album 18 Months, Calvin Harris has consistently looked to evolve and expand his style and productions instead of simply relying on the radio anthems of that era. After completing two albums worth more chilled-out vibes and island energy on his Funk Wav Bounces projects, he has been returning to more of the house style from his past. While his third project with superstar Ellie Goulding, the 2023 hit single Miracle showed a true return to form, his latest is a great nod to all of his expansive styles and works.

Few names are as synonymous with both pop and dance music in recent years as Calvin Harris is. Now the Scottish producer has returned with Rag’n’Bone Man for his latest classic.

Enlisting the vocals of Rag’n’Bone Man, the two artists have created an infectious new single that wouldn’t feel out of place on even some of Harris’ earliest works. The vocals are incredible from front to back as Rag’n’Bone Man delivers a soulful croon that is powerful and engaging from front to back. Not surprisingly, Calvin Harris has crafted the perfect musical foundation to match the vocals. Over a collection of bright piano chords, synths, claps, and groovy percussion.

As Calvin Harris gears up for a busy year of shows, as well as a residency on Ibiza, Lovers In A Past Life is a perfect anthem to get ready for the festival season.
