Although the duo of Daft Punk has firmly secured their place in music history decades ago, they have also been immortalized in wax now. New wax figures of the iconic robot producers have been constructed for display at Madame Tussauds.

Throughout their career, the visual aspects of Daft Punk have often been as engaging and important to fans as the music. Whether it be their robot helmets, the way-ahead-of-its-time Pyramid stage, or any of their classic music videos, the French duo has been careful to curate every aspect of their persona. As fans around the world continue to digest and celebrate their work, the team at the famed Madame Tussauds in New York has opted to contribute to their legacy. Ben Shapiro, the marketing executive at Madame Tussauds expanded on the organization’s decision to include the artists in their collection.

“As Daft Punk and Madame Tussauds both share French origins, this collaboration is a testament to the innovation and artistic brilliance of those that came before us and the ability of music and art to transcend global boundaries. We’re honored to welcome fans from ‘Around the World’ to the attraction to see their idols ‘One More Time’ and celebrate the legacy of Daft Punk and French House music.”

While the Daft Punk figures were first unveiled within the museum on February 27th, they were initially revealed at the now famed Brooklyn music venue, Avant Gardner. Now on display in the Glow Gala section of Madame Tussauds, they stand alongside such icons as Beyoncé, Matthew McConaughey, and Ariana Grande. Since the duo are sculpted wearing their famed robot helmets, designers spent much of the time focusing on the group’s iconic Saint Laurent black sequined Le Smoking tuxedo suits designed by Hedi Slimane. These were the look of choice during the promotional period for their swan song album, Random Access Memories.
