Legendary Japanese musical equipment company Roland has collaborated with American streetwear brand Supreme to release special white versions of two of its most iconic devices: the JU-06A synthesizer and TR-08 drum machine.

Unveiled as part of Supreme’s hotly anticipated 2024 spring/summer collection, the synth and drum machine are instantly recognizable to music gear aficionados. The JU-06A is a miniaturized recreation of Roland’s beloved Juno synthesizers from the 1980s, while the TR-08 accurately replicates the famed TR-808 drum machine that became ubiquitous in hip hop and dance music.

Both devices sport Supreme’s signature red-and-white branding, with the JU-06A featuring a particularly eye-catching gigantic Supreme logo emblazoned prominently across the center of its control panel. The TR-08’s logo is slightly more subtle in the upper right corner. For Roland, the crossover represents a chance to reintroduce some of its most iconic music products to a younger, fashion-forward demographic—those who may be more familiar with Supreme’s sought-after T-shirts and hoodies than vintage synthesizers.

Supreme is no stranger to such high-profile brand collaborations, having previously partnered with audio companies like Technics and Harman Kardon. The cool cachet of the streetwear label aligns neatly with Roland’s reputation for products that, decades after their introduction, remain standards of electronic dance music.

The Supreme editions of the JU-06A and TR-08 will likely be available only in limited quantities at Supreme retail locations and on its website. Pricing details are not yet public, but given Supreme’s reputation for limited-run exclusivity, you can expect them to sell out fast and command a premium on resale sites.
