As one of the most prominent names in music production, Waves offers various plug-ins and audio solutions for almost any workflow or style. Now the company has released an exciting new plug-in to help with efficiency when sharing project ideas and testing mixes outside the studio.

One of the most time-consuming aspects of collaborative projects and mixes can be the need to bounce down ideas before sharing with other producers or testing the mix in a car or other space. Waves are looking to bring a new level of efficiency and speed to this process, allowing producers to quickly stream audio directly from their DAW without latency or loss of quality. With the announcement of the brand-new Waves Stream plug-in and app, the ability to work together and dissect ideas within or outside of the studio will be forever transformed.

Applying the Waves Stream plug-in to an audio channel or master output will allow the audio to be quickly transmitted to a separate location by creating a QR code and outside link, this can be shared with either a cell phone or another producer. The audio from the DAW will then be sent to the destination, allowing collaborators to listen in real-time from another studio or to quickly review mixes via cell phone or other output. On top of the clean, lossless audio being shared, the Waves Stream plug-in also comes equipped with a microphone function to make communication even smoother within the application.

Waves Stream will be available as a stand-alone subscription for $8.99 as well as available to Waves Creative Access Plugin subscribers and Mercury Bundle users with the Waves Update Plan coverage. Check out this brief walkthrough below and see how collaborating and sharing productions are being transformed by Waves.
