A Unique Performance on the Horizon: “Bridge from the Future” Concert

Jean-Michel Jarre, alongside ESET, a global leader in digital security, will headline the opening event of this year’s STARMUS Festival with an extraordinary live concert titled “Bridge from the Future.” Set against the stunning backdrop of Bratislava’s SNP (UFO) Bridge, this concert is scheduled for May 12 and will include special guest Sir Brian May. Moreover, this unique performance, a collaboration with the City of Bratislava, will air on Slovakian National RTVS and stream globally via the EBU network and Jean-Michel Jarre’s YouTube channel.

Inaugurating the Seventh STARMUS Festival Edition

Specifically designed for this occasion, “Bridge from the Future” marks the inauguration of the seventh edition of STARMUS Festival. Moreover, with the overarching theme of ‘STARMUS Earth: the Future of Our Home Planet,’ the festival aims to foster dialogue among Nobel laureates, scientists, astronauts, intellectuals, and artists. Founded by astrophysicist Garik Israelian, PhD, and astrophysicist Sir Brian May, under the auspices of the late Stephen Hawking, STARMUS seeks to inspire the next generation of explorers.

Jean-Michel Jarre and Sir Brian May: A Fusion of Art and Science

As a United Nations Ambassador for Education, Science, and Culture at UNESCO, Jean-Michel Jarre embodies the spirit of progress and collaboration. His partnership with Sir Brian May, a founding member of Queen and esteemed astrophysicist, underscores the fusion of art and science that defines STARMUS. Furthermore, this year’s festival, hosted in Bratislava by ESET, emphasizes the importance of science, culture, and education in addressing global challenges.

Bridge from the Future” serves as a metaphorical bridge between the past and the future, echoing the contrast between tradition and innovation seen in both the city of Bratislava and ESET’s evolution in digital security. The concert symbolizes humanity’s journey towards a better future, guided by curiosity and creativity.

Spanning from May 13 to 17, the STARMUS Earth Festival will feature lectures, discussions, and the presentation of the Stephen Hawking Medal for Science Communication. Jean-Michel Jarre‘s performance sets the tone for a conference dedicated to addressing the pressing issues facing our planet.

“Bridge from the Future” Live Concert will take place at Incheba, Bratislava on May 12, and admission is free. Additionally, STARMUS Earth Festival tickets are available at www.ticketportal.sk, with events running from May 13 to 17 at various venues throughout the city.
