Few names in music can boast the fearless exploration of sound and technology that Jean-Michel Jarre has shown throughout his career. In one of his recent adventures, he literally takes to the sky.

Over the decades of his incredible career, Jean-Michel Jarre has time and again stunned and amazed his fans and the industry at large through his music and the incredible performances he would deliver around the world. As fans look forward to his return to the stage this year, Jarre set off on a very different type of journey recently. Literally leaving the world behind, the esteemed producer spent time with the exciting new startup, Aircar. If the name isn’t literal enough, this burgeoning company is building flying cars, looking to expand the possibilities for travel for humans everywhere.

Outfitted with a 1.6 litre BMW engine, and limited to about 25 MPH on the road, the Klein Vision produced AirCar is certainly a revolutionary step forward for technology and transportation. The company’s co-founder Anton Zajac stated, “As soon as the technology improves, we will simply run on batteries.” The company is backed by Elon Musk’s Tesla, has already received nearly 3,000 orders and they hope to be on the road within a year. Getting the opportunity to take a flight recently, Jean-Michel Jarre raved about the experience. ‘One second you speak to the driver, and next, you are up there in the air. An amazing experience,’ said the producer.
