Mike Dean Teases Unreleased New Moog “Muse” Synth

In a recent Instagram post, renowned music producer Mike Dean gave his followers a sneak peek at an unreleased synthesizer from the pioneering synth manufacturer, Moog Music. The yet-to-be-released “Moog Muse” synth made its debut as Dean shared snippets of his work on upcoming projects with rappers Future and Metro Boomin.

Dean, known for his extensive work with artists like Kanye West, Travis Scott, and Beyoncé, shared a short video clip of the Moog Muse in his studio. While details on the Moog Muse’s specifications and features remain scarce, the brief glimpse provided by Dean highlights the synth’s sleek and classic design language with a vintage-inspired aesthetic. The Muse appears to have a robust metal construction, and what looks to be an expanded array of knobs, sliders, and other hands-on performance controls compared to some of Moog’s classic synth models.

Moog has not yet made any official announcements regarding the Moog Muse. That’s got music makers and synth fans wondering what it can do and how it might be used. But with big names like Mike Dean using it for important projects, it looks like the Muse could become a big deal in Moog’s lineup. The synth was first debuted during Usher’s Super Bowl Halftime Show by Mike Dean himself.
