MORTEN reflects on career trajectory following sold-out LA show

Home News MORTEN reflects on career trajectory following sold-out LA show

Recent years have seen MORTEN rise to the top of the electronic music community thanks to his Future Rave output alongside David Guetta. This week the Danish producer took a moment to reflect on his career trajectory and the sudden turn of fortunes in his career.

Ever since the massive success of their 2019 single, Make It To Heaven, MORTEN has found himself side-by-side with David Guetta both in the studio and onstage as the two continue to explore their Future Rave sound. The two have featured several singles and EPs since and continue to share the stage around the world while also delivering a summer residency at Hï Ibiza each year. While Guetta’s success goes back over a decade, MORTEN didn’t find his until recently.

Following a sold-out show at Academy in Los Angeles, MORTEN took to Instagram to thank those who attended and share some of his journey up to that moment. In the post, he reflects on the years he lived in the southern California city and the disappointing turnout from his previous stop at Academy. In the post, he writes the following:

this one was special. i lived in LA for 10 years and prob on my lowest when nothing really worked out for me musically. last time i played academy 3 years ago we sold 180 tickets and had some walk ups which i was actually happy about that someone actually bought a ticket to see me. this time it was sold out and the energy was amazing throughout the whole night. thank you everyone for coming out and making the night so fucking special. thank you

It truly is an incredible story and meteoric rise for MORTEN and it is wonderful to see his joy and honest reflection on his path to this moment.
