Swedish House Mafia set to release new single ‘Lioness’ this week

Home News Swedish House Mafia set to release new single ‘Lioness’ this week

This week will mark eight months since the Swedish House Mafia last released new music. The wait for more from the trio will come to an end this Friday.

Since the Swedish House Mafia began the build-up to their debut album, Paradise Again, they have been consistent in delivering new tracks and hitting stages and clubs around the world. Despite promising a second album later in 2023, the trio of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello have been silent on that front and haven’t shared anything since Ray Of Solar in August of last year. Fans of the iconic trio will be happy to see that musical drought come to an end as they have revealed that the new single, Lioness, will get a release this Friday, April 26.

The hype for the new track began in earnest last weekend when Steve Angello took the stage in the California desert for a solo set at the annual Coachella Festival. During his set, he ran through his vast arsenal of live staples and also debuted the new Swedish House Mafia single, sending fans and the electronic music community into a frenzy over the ID. Fortunately, it appears that the wait will be a short one as the trio has revealed that Lioness is set to hit streaming services this Friday. The track will drop a week after Steve Angello plays weekend 2 of Coachella and hopefully will be the beginning of more Swedish House Mafia music in 2024.
