Avicii Radio announced in collaboration with SiriusXM

Just one day after celebrating the 9th anniversary of Avicii’s anthem ‘Waiting For Love‘, Avicii’s own radio station at Sirius XM was announced. This positioning places Avicii among peers such as Diplo, who has his own channel under the banner of Diplo’s Revolution, a station dedicated to presenting listeners with the latest discoveries in dance music, exclusive edits and remixes, and DJ sets from performances around the world.

Moreover, the post announcing the station was accompanied by a caption that explained exactly what the station was going to be and how it paid tribute to the artist:

“In honor of Avicii and his musical legacy, [Sirius XM] is launching “Avicii Radio: Music For a Better Day” – a radio channel where fans will be able to listen to Avicii’s hits, remixes, and music by those he inspired. Starting today, Avicii Radio is available on the SiriusXM app for fans exclusively in the US and Canada.

Fans were quick to go to the comments and sound off with questions of availability in their respective countries, but there is no word yet if there are plans for expanding the area that the new Avicii station will reach. See the original post here.

SiriusXM announced today the launch of Avicii Radio, an exclusive channel dedicated to the life and legacy of Swedish artist, producer and songwriter Avicii. SiriusXM is producing the channel in collaboration with the Tim Bergling Foundation, created and led by Avicii’s family.

The exclusive channel will be available beginning Thursday, May 23, on the SiriusXM app.
