DJ Snake throws shade at Tomorrowland following EDC Las Vegas set

Home Events DJ Snake throws shade at Tomorrowland following EDC Las Vegas set

DJ Snake has been a global phenomenon and main stage act for years, playing at festivals and clubs worldwide. Following his recent stop in Las Vegas for EDC, he made some controversial comments regarding another major festival.

While his career has grown by leaps and bounds since he first gained notoriety alongside Lil John, the mantra of ‘Turn down for what’ feels as relevant as ever for the French producer. DJ Snake’s early hit song is still widely beloved, and the producer seems to have never let go of that mantra, especially following his recent remarks on social media. Over the weekend, he joined the electronic music community in Las Vegas for EDC, one of the most revered and respected events within the dance scene. Although it often doesn’t earn the same prestige as the big 3 festivals, Ultra Music, Tomorrowland, and Electric Zoo, the Electric Daisy Carnival is world-renowned for the quality of its line-ups, stages, and events.

It seems as though, after years on the festival circuit, DJ Snake has his own thoughts on which events are the best. After performing at EDC on Saturday night, he took to social media to make it very clear how he saw the festival hierarchy. Simply tweeting out, ‘EDC VEGAS> TOMORROWLAND,’ he sent the internet into a story over the comment. It seems he made similar comments on stage during his set, so it is an opinion that he clearly stands behind.

While fans await any possible follow-up from the producer on his comments, it seems as though fans in Belgium shouldn’t expect to see DJ Snake booked at Tomorrowland anytime soon.
