Hardwell unleashes personal edit of Nifra & 2 Unlimited’s ‘Control Your Body’: Listen

As we’re gearing up for Revealed Recordings’ 1000th official release, Hardwell dropped his own edit of Nifra & 2 Unlimited’s Control Your Body which now means that every single track off of his Ultra Miami set is now IDed.

In his own fashion since his comeback, Hardwell always revealed the full official tracklist for each and every one of his Ultra Miami sets. So, it came to everyone’s surprise when one single track in his Ultra Miami 2024 performance was left standing as an ID-ID. All of the speculation quickly vanished when Hardwell premiered the ID in his May edition of Hardwell On Air. It was revealed to be an edit for none other than trance heroine Nifra and the iconic duo 2 Unlimited, titled Control Your Body. As with almost every Hardwell release since his monumental comeback in 2022, this edit also combines the worlds of big room and techno, or as we all know it under the simple moniker “big room techno”.

Some of the older followers of We Rave You will surely know which track by 2 Unlimited was reworked in this Nifra and Hardwell combination. For those of you who might be unfamiliar with the source material, Control Your Body is a reimagining of the 1994 2 Unlimited hit Let The Beat Control Your Body. As mentioned above, the 2024 version follows the “big room techno” scheme Hardwell has nurtured exceptionally well over the last couple of years. The first drop hits right from the get-go, featuring a powerful kick and the vocal repeating “Let the beat control your body” all over again. What follows up is my personal favorite part of the track, and that is the break that introduces a vigorous trance break, with traces of techno synths sprinkled in there. The second and final drop explodes with energy that could’ve been seen when the crowd erupted during Hardwell’s Ultra Miami set. There is no greater proof than the crowd.

This summer proves to be another massive one in the long-running career of the 2-time #1 DJ in the world, Hardwell. As revealed by Hardwell himself on social media, the Dutchman will hit up some massive festivals over the course of the next couple of months, including both weekends of Tomorrowland Belgium, Ultra Europe, Parookaville, and many more. 3 of the dates have not been revealed yet as Hardwell is keeping those a secret for now.
