Marshmello has seen a resurgence in prominence after exiting the pop scene just last year. Now, less than a full year into the plunge back to hard bass music, Marshmello releases a 6-track ep with the help of newly formed friends in the heavy bass scene.

Marshmello is riding the wave of EDM lately, having released a 5-track ep with close friend Svdden Death (Mellodeath Tapes Vol.1), touring under the Mellodeath banner, and collaborating with some of the industry’s hardest bass acts such as Hol!, Space Laces, and others. Given this slow momentum in moving towards being an act that comprises solely of Hard Bass music, it should come as no surprise that the next body of work released by Marshmello follows the same trend.

Marshmello continues the trend of bringing highly coveted Bass acts to the new project. With collaboration tracks featuring Infekt, Samplifire, and Hol! (with the previously released track Movement. Many who have seen the recent transformation in Marshmello’s music attribute most of the change in musical stylings coming down to whoever Marshmello is collaborating with on any given track, however, this EP seems to point to that not exactly being the case, as single DEVASTATE lists only Marshmello as a featured artist on the track.

Despite the Hol! collaboration that has taken the bass scene by storm, the ep bolsters 4 completely original tracks that had yet to be released. Each track gives off electrifying energy which will sure to have fans of the music not only dancing along with their high knees but also practicing their chopping skills in trying to find the hottest riddim tracks to chop with this collection of songs.

Marshmello’s It’s Riddim Time is available to stream on all platforms and is worth the listen for any Marshmello fans who are intrigued by the metamorphosis the artist has been undergoing over the past year.
