Gear Manufacturer MasterSounds Shutting Down, End of an Era?

The renowned manufacturer of DJ equipment and audio gear, has sadly announced its closure.

Known for its handcrafted products that combine vintage aesthetics with modern technology, MasterSounds has been a favorite among DJs and producers, and has now stopped producing and selling new audio gear.

Founded in 2008 by Ryan Shaw, MasterSounds quickly gained a reputation for producing exceptional turntables, mixers, and accessories. They collaborated with some of the renowned artists named Bicep, Disclosure as well as The Chemical Brothers. Their other collaboration also includes some famous record labels such as Ninja Tunes and R&S Records.

Ryan shared the news on June 11th by posting a message on Instagram stating.

“Ryan here, I wanted to write to you all to let you know of some changes taking place at MasterSounds.
As we hit mid 2024, I wanted to give everyone reading this a heads up, to let you know that we are currently building our final units of MasterSounds DJ mixers, FX units, ISO4s and LinearPOWER supplies, once these are gone, we won’t be producing or selling any more of the above products, which I truly believe will become classics of the future“

Shaw also mentioned MasterSound’s partnership with Union Audio and the amazing journey Shaw and Andy Rigby-Jones (Union Audio) have covered since their first meeting in 2016. Shaw added – It’s been an amazing journey of discovery, and one MasterSounds & Union Audio are continuing to make in different directions

He confirmed that MasterSounds will continue to offer aftercare for all of its products now and in the future.
