subsidiary of One Media Group known as TCAT Ltd has recently launched the”TCAT Protect” app which is openly available with a seven-day free trial for music industry stakeholders. While music rights holders, record labels, and artists often face the illegal exploitation of their music in digital stores, this issue arises from audio modifications as well as incorrect metadata, unfortunately leading to revenue losses.

The TCAT Protect app seeks to resolve this problem by offering tools to track, report, and analyze these tracks on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. Enabling the monitoring of music recordings across global digital stores, allows users to detect and listen to potentially infringing tracks. Additionally, also provides detailed reports that outline how, where, and who is misusing music rights. Using an enhanced audio fingerprinting software, TCAT Protect matches music tracks on streaming platforms, consolidating potential infringements into one place. Thus helping protect intellectual property rights and optimize revenue. The app also offers real-time data and advanced analytics tools to assist stakeholders in making informed decisions.  TCAT’s managing director, Robin Abeyesinhe shares:

“At TCAT, we understand the challenges faced by record labels, artists, composers, and royalty receivers in managing their rights and earnings. With TCAT Protect, we aim to provide a robust tool that enables rights holders to track their music on the monitored DSPs and to identify and take action against potentially infringing tracks, using TCAT’s fingerprinting technology and bespoke software, whilst also offering transparency and security that our clients deserve.”
