FL Studio has just released their latest edition, and instead of FL Studio 21.3, it’s called FL Studio 2024. This new version comes packed with a host of new features.

If you’re looking for a summary of the changes, please read the points below. For an in-depth overview of FL Studio 2024, scroll through the article to learn more:

  1. FL Cloud now includes plugins, starting with 10 in the Free plan, 65+ in the Pro
  2. A new vintage synth, called Kepler Exo
  3. Low Lifter, a bass enhancer, and Spreader, a stereo widener tool
  4. A new Chord Progression Tool
  5. Piano Roll and Channel Rack enhancements include stutter edits with Note Repeat
  6. Edison is now more powerful than ever – it can now be used to separate vocals and noise from a track and has a significantly improved Declipper

Let’s dive in depth to see what’s new.

1. FL Cloud for Plugins

FL Cloud now includes plugins created by third-party manufacturers directly within FL Studio. For many music producers, purchasing external plugins on top of the DAW cost has been financially challenging. Thankfully, FL Studio has introduced this fantastic feature. Over 65 plugins are available from Native Instruments, UVI, Baby Audio, Minimal Audio, MeldaProduction, W.A. Production, and UnitedPlugins. To access these plugins, FL Cloud offers three new plans.

FL Cloud Free includes 10 plugins, FL Cloud Plus offers 18, and FL Cloud Pro provides over 65 plugins from third-party manufacturers. You can now install, authorize, and update third-party plugins easily within the FL Cloud Plugins app, making it convenient to manage all your tools uniformly. A year of FL Cloud Pro costs only $99.99 as part of their introductory offer($149.99 usual price).

2. New Stock Plugins

FL Studio 2024 comes with 3 new stock plugins

a. Kepler Exo

Kepler Exo, a new plugin in FL Studio 2024’s All Plugins Edition, builds on the classic sounds of JUNO-6 and Jupiter-8â„¢ while adding modern features. It boasts enhanced oscillators, additional modulation options, and extra effects, making it a versatile tool for creating authentic retro sounds. This powerhouse synth is ideal for genres like synthwave, cyberpunk, and retrowave.

b. Low Lifter

Low Lifter addresses the issue of inaudible sub-bass frequencies on common speakers. It analyzes low frequencies and adds higher harmonics, making bass audible on all devices. This solution enhances the listening experience across all systems, from phones to professional setups.

c. Spreader

The new ‘Spreader’ plugin in FL Studio 2024 offers powerful stereo enhancement while maintaining mono compatibility. It prevents bass cancellation by excluding bass frequencies from the spreading effect. This ensures the bass remains centered and powerful in all playback environments.

3. Piano Roll Changes

a. Note Repeat in the Piano Roll

The Piano Roll has also been updated with Note Repeat. Use it to create stuttering beats and notes in both the Piano roll and Step Sequencer. Higher values mean more repeats. This is perfect for creating quick rolls!

b. Chord Progression Tool

The new Chord Progression Tool in FL Studio 2024 allows users of any skill level to quickly create the perfect mood for their track. It can be accessed from the ‘Tools’ menu in every Piano Roll window. This tool simplifies the process of generating chord progressions.

4. Mastering Features

The improved Mastering window in FL Studio 2024 offers a range of customization options for mastering tracks, including bass and high-frequency adjustments, exciters, a stereo widener, and a multiband dynamics processor. Custom AI technology ensures tracks sound release-ready. It supports various output formats like 24- and 32-bit lossless WAV, FLAC, OGG, MP3, and M4A.
