Heroes‘ songwriter Alesso performed his hit single ‘Let Me Go‘ with Hailee Steinfeld and country-pop duo Florida Georgia Line live at the 2017 AMA’s on Sunday night. Since the track’s September release, it has gained over 100 million Spotify streams, accompanied by over 11 million views on Hailee Steinfeld’s YouTube account.

Joined on stage by lovely dancers covered in white, Steinfeld dazzled in sparkling thigh length boots while Alesso manned the decks, as Watt strummed his guitar in a rectangular structure behind her. Florida Georgia Line’s members contributed backing vocals from the level above them. While Alesso was behind the decks in his performance, Zedd was upfront playing the piano in his AMA’s ‘Stay ‘ performance with Alessia Cara.

While fans know Alesso for his energetic, mainstage Progressive and Electro anthems, the Swede has taken things down a few bpm’s since experimenting with other genres. While ‘Let Me Go’ aside, tracks such as ‘Is That For Me‘ with Anitta and ‘Falling‘ have evidently displayed Alesso’s desire for experimentation, they’ve been met with mixed reactions, but nonetheless, Alesso continues to produce quality music.
