Kygo to join The Chainsmokers for Superbowl festivities
Shortly after The Chainsmokers were enlisted to perform during the Superbowl week celebrations in Minnesota, comes the announcement of Kygo and Ellie Goulding. The duo are set to perform at Club Nomadic at Mystic Lake Casino Hotel on Friday, Feb. 2 alongside their American counterparts. The venue, which has a maximum capacity of 9,500 people is expected to sell out on the night.
The latest announcement is just one of many for the Norwegian Tropical House superstar. His recent ‘Kids In Love‘ album, which has amassed over 84.5 million Spotify streams, peaked at no.1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Albums chart last month. Kygo’s ‘Stargazing‘ EP is also riding high, with the EP’s title track earning more than 138 million Spotify plays and 54 million YouTube views. As well as the aforementioned songs, Kygo and Ellie Goulding’s ‘First Time‘ has amassed over 233 million streams and is Kygo’s 4th most played track on Spotify.
In addition to Kygo and Goulding, a growing list of performers who will be in Minnesota during Super Bowl week. Others include Jennifer Lopez, who will perform at Nomadic Live! on Super Saturday Night. Sheila E., the Revolution and Morris Day & the Time will perform a Prince tribute as part of a series of free concerts. Alesso will also be a part of the festivities, performing alongside Florida Georgia line.
