Avicii’s co-producer working on Avicii’s unreleased single ‘Heaven’
Avicii‘s co-producer Carl Falk took to his Instagram recently to share a picture of him working on a project called ‘Heaven’, clearly suggesting he is finalising Avicii’s collaboration with Coldplay‘s lead singer Chris Martin. the picture is captioned:
Yesterday was a strange and emotional day in many ways trying to finishing these songs. It’s not the same producing without you by my side. I miss you hanging over my shoulder doubting every little thing and detail in the song.”
While nothing has been confirmed yet, this is further evidence that this song might be getting a release after all. Throughout the entire festival season we have heard a number of tributes to the late producer, including several ones bu his long time friend Nicky Romero who has played this very track more than once at festivals and on his radio show. We also saw countless emotional tributes at this years Tomorrowland. Axwell & Ingrosso paused for an acapella moment with ‘Wake Me Up’ before mashing it up with the Swedish House Mafia hit ‘Don’t You Worry Child’. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike celebrated similarly, mashing the lyrics with the Swedish produver’s breakout single ‘Seek Bromance’. Don Diablo held a moment of pause, while Hardwell played one of his biggest tunes, and Nicky Romero‘s crowd unfurled a giant Avicii flag. You can watch all the tributes here.
Russian producer Arty also announced his intention to make a track which would honour the memory of the Swede which has finally released, appropriately named ‘Tim.’ Arty’s new track is a progressive masterpiece which nods to early Tim work, utilising slick melodies and the kind of vibes found in early Avicii tracks like his Bob Sinclar remix, and his work on productions like ‘Seek Bromance.’
