Nicky Romero & Taio Cruz – Me On You (Steve Aoki Vibes Are Everything Remix)

Throughout his bustling music career, superstar DJ and producer Steve Aoki has collaborated with an almost endless list of international artists which include the likes of Laidback Luke, Afrojack, Don Diablo, Lil Jon, and Will.i.am to name a few. Whether he is dropping new music with fellow electronic masterminds or surprising fans with his newly opened pizza store called ‘Pizzaoki‘, Steve Aoki is no doubt one of the busiest and most hardworking artists in the industry. Not to mention running his successful record label, Dim Mak, Steve’s work ethic knows no boundaries and is always full steam ahead.

Most recently, Steve Aoki and Nicky Romero participated in an exchange of remixes, with the former remixing Nicky Romero’s collaboration with Taio Cruz ‘Me On You’. Steve Aoki’s ‘Vibes Are Everything’ remix gives the track a completely new face, combining Taio Cruz’s spectacular vocal performance with a modern sound inspired by the style made popular by Marshmello. The tight drums and percussion combined with the plucky rhythm which drives the main energy of the remix compliment the vocal extremely well, making this the perfect track to vibe to, just as Aoki intends it to be.

Aoki and Nicky Romero have time and time again shown nothing but respect for each other. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Romero called Aoki,

“one of the most genuine people that I know in the entire music industry.”

He also took the time to explain the story behind their latest collaboration ‘Be Somebody’, featuring Kiiara. You can listen to it here.

“He came by in my studio in Holland, stayed a whole day; listening to music, playing music, working on songs, but also playing ping pong, telling each other stories from the beginning, experiences,” Romero reveals. “And he was just such an honest, nice guy. He’s definitely an inspiration to many of us.”
