Steve Aoki to release Neon Future III on Friday
Famous for his Neon Future productions, American EDM star Steve Aoki has announced the final instalment in the trilogy; Neon Future III. With the previous two albums birthing tracks like ‘Boneless’ and ‘I Love It When You Cry’, we’re certainly keen to hear what kind of route Aoki goes down on this one, with his more recent tones encompassing heavy hip-hop, latin, and trap elements.
Well known for his energetic live shows, which include cake throwing, foam and confetti cannons, and stage-diving and crowd-surfing on inflatable boats, Steve Aoki has become one of the biggest names in the dance music scene, consistently scoring a top 10 place in the annuale DJ Mag Top 100 poll. Previously holding a residency at Pacha in Ibiza, Aoki also plays numerous Las Vegas dates each year, and released his own Netflix docu-movie ‘I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead’ in 2016.
With Neon Future III set to contain collaborations with the likes of Blink 182 and Nicki Minaj, the release – out this Friday – precedes his upcoming tour, which will see him play at London’s iconic Brixton Academy venue in February.
