Last Friday (April 20th) marked the one year anniversary of Tim Bergling (Avicii)’s sudden passing. Because of that the past few weeks have been really emotional for the entire EDM society and millions of fans around the world have been remembering the Swedish superstar DJ and producer. With the new Avicii release ‘SOS’ featuring Aloe Blacc, the singer of one of his most famous releases ‘Wake Me Up’, confirmed rumours of the full-length album release on June 6th called ‘TIM’, and the creation of The Tim Bergling Foundation by his family members, the memory of the artist is being kept alive and spreading the awareness of mental illnesses and suicide prevention.

To add to all of that, an official biography of young Tim is set to be published in 2020 by the Swedish publishing house Albert Bonniers Förlag. It will be written by the very successful journalist Måns Mosesson, who already won awards like Prix Italia and Stora Journalistpriset for his work. Mosesson states that he will celebrate the life and art of a “musical visionary whose sense of melody made him beloved all over the world” while still showing us “an honest portrait that doesn’t shy away from the difficulties that Tim experienced”.

All of the proceeds from the book, as well as the profits from the album will go towards the Tim Bergling Foundation.
