Swedish House Mafia captivate thousands with mesmerising intro ID

The dance music contingent has come together to unofficially name the insane Swedish House Mafia intro mix/ID “It Gets Better” as we wait eagerly for its release.

With Mexico City, Tinderbox, Poland and bright lights of the Tele 2 Arena now behind them, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell have already treated thousands to a collection of emphatic new music. From the very first minute of their brand new show, the trio lay precedence for what is to come with a blistering intro mix. The opening ID is speculated to be a future SHM anthem as it doesn’t stray far from the energy and sophistication of their past releases. Whilst maintaining the nostalgia of pre-breakup Swedish House Mafia, the track also feels refreshing, as perhaps the trio have also drawn upon the innovative, gritty basslines of the Axwell ^ Ingrosso era.

The track, dubbed “It Gets Better” by fans, has amassed a significant amount of interest since the 3 shows on their home soil and continues to do so as we hurtle towards an inevitable SHM release. It is the most likely name for the showstopper (or starter), as the trio hinted the words as a caption on an Instagram post along with the fact that the ID contains the distinctive lyrics “it gets better, babe”.

If you are yet to see Swedish House Mafia live this year or want an insight on what to expect, you can check out the cut from their set below:
