Armin van Buuren’s Facebook Live Video of Untold set ranks #1 on Billboard chart

Trance behemoth Armin Van Buuren has ranked number one amongst a long list of Facebook Live Videos with his Untold Festival live stream.

DJ’s are forever finding new ways to push their content out to wider audiences and the 42-year-old Dutchman is certainly leading the way, doing so on social media. Using Facebook Live Video, Armin was able to stream his historical 7 hour set live from a record-breaking 5th edition of the Romanian electronic music festival. The stream was split into two parts and the 5-hour video including the start of his set reached a particularly special milestone.

Armin Van Buuren Untold Festival live video was the longest video of its kind on Facebook Live Video to ever to reach the number one ranking on a certain Billboard chart. The rankings are based around the amount of interaction a video receives, i.e. views, likes/reacts, shares and comments among other factors. This video earned its top spot by amassing over 535,000 views, 30,000 comments and 7,000 shares within its first 7 days of access. If that wasn’t enough, the second part of his Untold set reached a deserving 9th place in the same chart.

Following other developments in Facebook’s features, it will be interesting to see if any other DJ attempts to top these impressive statistics. Maybe Armin will, one day, break his own figures with another of his legendary marathon sets; perhaps at Untold next year…
