Martin Garrix is in the studio with the masterful Timbaland

On social media, Martin Garrix and Timbaland have been pictured together working on new music in Miami.

In a recent Instagram post, it appears that the young Amstelveen-born sensation may be collaborating on new music with Hip-Hop and R&B phenomenon Timbaland. Both took to the platform to show off their company whilst deep in session. This exciting development aligns with Martin’s ability to collaborate with other acclaimed artists, having only just released the stunning anthem “Summer Days” alongside Macklemore and Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy.

Regardless of what may come of this news (collab or not), Garrix is sure to be relishing in the additional expertise the 47-year-old can provide him. Compared to Martijn who started composing on FL Studio in the late 2000s, Timbaland (real name Timothy Zachary Mosley) boasts a plethora of recognised productions stemming all the way back to 1996. The American rapper, songwriter and DJ established production credits with upcoming artists in the early 1990s before finding great success collaborating on award-winning hits with the likes of Justin Timberlake, Madonna and Rihanna. Timbaland’s sound was so influential that it extended past Hip-Hop and R&B and also found its way into the UK garage scene.

It appears Mosley is to transcend genres once more, exploring the plains of dance music through the compelling potential of Garrix. Though no official title or production has been confirmed by the pair, it will be interesting to see how Garrix advances from working with such a high-calibre producer.

We hope this Martin Garrix x Timbaland collaboration comes to fruition, so keep your eyes on We Rave You where we will bring you any developments on this story.
