Here Lies Love: Fatboy Slim and his Broadway Musical

In a mixture of music, history, and storytelling, the musical genius Fatboy Slim brought the captivating tale of “Here Lies Love” to the stages of Broadway. Based on the life of former First Lady of the Philippines, Imelda Marcos, this production left audiences amazed with its impactful story and soundtrack. David Byrne and Fatboy Slim worked together on “Here Lies Love” to debut off-Broadway in 2013 before making its leap to the Broadway stage. The musical is an interactive experience that blurs the line between performer and audience. Along with this, the audience was invited to dance on the floor instead of regular Broadway seating. This really contributed to the energy and magic of the live show. Fatboy Slim originally created a soundtrack that was inspired by the removal of Imelda Marcos and her husband. After this, it became a complete theatre production with successful runs.
