A new album in San Holo‘s oeuvre, which contains Future Bass and Indie style features: EXISTENTIAL DANCE MUSIC is OUT NOW!

The innovative album by San Holo, released on 15 September, features collaborations with the likes of What So Not, Whethan, Bipolar Sunshine, AURORA, and many more.

Dutch DJ, musician, and record producer Sander van Dijck, better known as San Holo, has reached a new milestone in his career. The producer achieved international recognition with his remix of the hit Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg collaboration “The Next Episode” back in 2014, which has since racked up over 200 million views on YouTube alone on the Trap Nation channel. With this new album, released on Helix Records in mid-September, he wanted to create a new concept of the term EDM, he says:

Music has always been a way for me to express feelings that I can’t describe with just words… Words alone rarely capture something’s pure essence and music seems to get a lot closer to capturing those feelings. Life is so existential by nature; We’re all looking for meaning in this world, and I’m fascinated by our personal journey of finding purpose. At the end of the day, we all wanna see the light and feel connected to our true selves and the world around us; We want to feel at peace. Existential Dance Music is all about this journey through life. Our journey to light. The lows, the highs, the hellos, the goodbyes…”

San Holo’s work has been characterized by uplifting beats, organic electronic elements, and melancholic melodies from the very beginning, and this is evident in the new album under the genre of Future Bass. A very good example of this from the album is the Bipolar Sunshine collaboration, called “LIGHT ONLY”, which is a very uplifting and hopeful song. Also noteworthy is the distance song, “NO PLACE IS TOO FAR”, a collaboration between San Holo and Whethan, with Selah Sol providing vocals. This track really shows the work put into the album, making an album of songs with ethereal melodies and cutting-edge productions. San Holo also likes to move with Web3, for example, he recently published 7 tracks on sound.xyz, where fans can also send feedback. On the latter point, it is also worth mentioning that on September 25, there will be a virtual concert of the new album, for the benefit of his fans, on OnCyber. But this will not be the only way to enjoy his new work, there will also be a full tour to see where and when below. His biggest show to date, the aforementioned EXISTENTIAL DANCE MUSIC, will kick off in the fall of 2023 to early 2024, with artists such as DROELOE, Wes Mills, and OddKidOut, whom he’s recently collaborated with on the “Weightless” EP by OddKidOut.
