Fatboy Slim recently played a 50-meter-tall surprise holographic performance above the iconic Alexandra Palace in North London.

Last week, passersby near the iconic Alexandra Palace in North London were treated to a gigantic holographic performance by Norman Cook, better known as renowned DJ/producer Fatboy Slim. The mesmerizing performance unfolded inside Alexandra Palace but was beamed outside for all to enjoy. Made possible through a collaboration with the mobile network company EE, the larger-than-life, 50-meter-tall hologram performance was created with cutting-edge technology and suspended from two cranes. EE, who is committed to becoming the UK’s largest subscription service, also live-streamed the performance on their Instagram.

As a delightful twist, Fatboy Slim invited his fans to submit their dance routines for his hit track ‘Praise You.’ These fan-made dance videos served as virtual backup dancers at one point during his set. The performance also featured his timeless classics like ‘The Rockafeller Skank,’ and ‘Right Here, Right Now.’

“#AD So that was a first…

I played inside Ally Pally whilst being projected live in the sky outside.

Apparently you could almost see my smiley mug from Brighton!

Thanks to @ee for putting this all together and thanks to all of you for your ‘Praise You’ Dances (some were projected too), we absolutely loved seeing those.” – Fatboy Slim on Instagram

In recent news, Fatboy Slim celebrated the 25th anniversary of his album ‘You’ve Come A Long Way, Baby’ with a special edition release. Reflecting on the milestone anniversary, Fatboy Slim said, “I’m still surprised and warmed by the reception ‘You’ve Come A Long Way, Baby‘ has received. I didn’t envision its global reach; I thought it had a distinctly ‘English’ sound. I certainly didn’t foresee people still discussing it 25 years later, as I recall saying at the time! My heartfelt thanks to everyone who has enjoyed it over the years.”
