Splice AI Powered ‘Create’ Mode Now Accepts User Loops as Input
Splice users can now take advantage of the AI-powered “Create” Mode to find compatible samples by uploading their original loops.
Splice has launched a new feature that allows users to create music starting with their own original loop. This innovative tool uses artificial intelligence to match compatible sounds from Splice’s extensive library, making the music creation process more efficient and inspiring.
Key points of the new feature:
- AI-powered matching: The Create inspiration engine uses AI to find sounds that complement the user’s original loop.
- Vast sound library: Splice’s library contains over 300 instruments and represents more than 130 music genres.
- Workflow integration: The feature easily exports suggested stems to popular digital audio workstations (DAWs).
- Human-created sounds: While AI assists in matching, all sounds in the Splice library are created by humans.
- Genre selection: Users can choose a specific genre to guide the AI’s sound suggestions.
Zaytoven, a platinum-selling record producer, has partnered with Splice for this launch. He praises the feature for helping him think outside the box and sparking new ideas in his music production process.
“It opened my mind up, It helps me spark ideas. I make so many beats. A lot of times I can make them start sounding alike because I make so many beats. This helps to expand and think outside of what I would’ve done normally.” quoted Zaytoven.

How to use?
Splice has enhanced its “Create” feature, offering users three distinct methods to begin their music production process:
1. Start with your own loop (New):
- Upload a personal audio loop (up to 30 seconds)
- AI analyzes the loop and suggests compatible sounds
- Option to select a specific genre or “All Genres”
- Choose between adding layers manually or receiving AI suggestions
2. Start with a Splice loop:
- Browse Splice’s catalog for inspiration
- Click “Create a Stack” to find compatible sounds
- Useful for developing ideas from liked or collected sounds
3. Start with a genre:
- Select from popular genres like Hip Hop, House, EDM, Trap, Soul, Pop, etc.
- Generate a Stack with loops from the chosen genre
- “All Genres” option available for diverse combinations
