Hot off the heels of his two sets at Electric Zoo and official after-party set for the festival (meaning he played three sets in three days in New York City), the city is still recovering from the chaos Eric Prydz unleashed with his mind-blowing sets over the weekend, but it seems he isn’t letting New York HOLO fans catch a break just yet.
Taking to his social media pages to post a cryptic video, Eric Prydz has officially announced that he is bringing his world-renowned HOLO concept to New York. Set to be a spectacular show unlike any other, further information such as the date or venue is yet to be released but a short teaser video just displaying the word ‘Holo’ is enough to make the fans go wild with excitement and anticipation. As everyone already knows, Prydz is constantly breaking the barriers and pushing boundaries as to what artists can do with live performance and offers an experience that truly cannot be replicated by anyone else. His last two projects VOID and Holosphere were exclusive setups for Creamfields Festival in the UK and Tomorrowland in Belgium.
VOID consisted of an extra special lighting setup which was built especially for Creamfields’ prestigious Steel Yard stage and Holosphere was a huge five-ton spherical setup which featured Eric Prydz situated inside the middle with LED strips displaying visuals made especially for the sphere which made its first and only debut at Tomorrowland’s spectacular indoor Freedom stage.
In the past, HOLO shows all over the world have featured stunning 3D hologram visuals that are displayed over the heads of the crowds as they are immersed in the wonderful world of HOLO. Watch the announcement video below and stay tuned for more information about tickets, date and venue as it becomes available.
