Oliver Heldens’ remix of ‘Ferrari’ fuses tropical dance energy with elements found in the original version of the track such as Spanish guitars, lively percussion, and Miggy Dela Rosa’s moving vocals.

Following up on James Hype’s recent remix of his track ‘I Was Made For Lovin’ You,’ Dutch producer/DJ Oliver Heldens returns the favor by revamping ‘Ferrari,’ out now via Island UK. The single captures the summer melodies of James Hype’s original, but shifts to a clubbier direction with a more playful and upbeat rhythm accompanied by a funky bassline.

“Being a bit inspired by Afrobeat, Afro House and Melodic House, I wanted to take the summer vibe of the original to a next level by adding some organic catchy melodic/musical marimbas that perfectly mesh with the guitar & vocal hook of the original, and ofcourse a funky signature Heldens type bassline that supports it all nicely and gives it a clubby touch. Despite the organic, tropical & somewhat ‘chill’ sound overall, it’s been a true highlight in my sets, even in the more ‘mainstage’ festival type sets. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do :)” – Oliver Heldens’ Instagram

Since its release in April, James Hype and Miggy Dela Rosa’s ‘Ferrari’ has become one of the songs of this year’s summer soundtrack. The track was named BBC Radio 1’s Tune Of The Week, has racked up over 125 million Spotify streams, and has also been played at festivals and clubs all around the world by some of the industry’s top acts such as Diplo, Tiesto, Timmy Trumpet and many more. With Oliver Heldens having released charting tracks this year such as ‘Mercury’ with Space 92, ‘Flying Octopus’ with Reinier Zonneveld and ‘Low’ with Tchami and Anabel England, ‘Ferrari’ continues to position itself to reach even more milestones.
