Home Tech Tech News FL Studio Mobile Releases 4.5 Update

FL Studio Mobile has recently launched its 4.5 update. The already capable mobile DAW receives 3 new effects as well as notable workflow improvements. From new effects to general improvements, Image-Line continues to deliver a powerful yet lightweight DAW for producers on the go.

Spreader

FL Studio Mobile 4.5 delivers a brand-new spreader effect for mixing. The easy-to-use interface allows users to quickly expand the stereo width of their audio. With a Vectorscope for reference, the user is met with Width and Low Bypass controls. The width fader allows the user to toggle the severity of the Spreader’s effect, while the Low Bypass can limit how much of the low end of a mix is spread.

Tape Stop

The Tape Stop effect emulates pitch changes from speeding up and slowing down a tape deck or vinyl record. The interface is straight to the point and allows the user to manually adjust the start and stop times. In addition, the interface includes a warp fader that can change the speed of the effect. A sync switch is included to allow users to quickly tailor the effect to their project tempo with ease.

Wow & Flutter

The new Wow & Flutter effect in FL Studio Mobile emulates the sound of vinyl or tape degradation. Users can quickly control the effect by using the amount and rate parameters or leverage the randomize feature for creative experimentation. Like the Tape Stop, a sync switch is included in the interface as well.

Workflow/Automation Improvements

FL Studio Mobile 4.5 revises the general project settings tab to be better organized and lends itself to a stronger user experience. Users will now be able to take advantage of slide notes in the piano roll for a new creative approach to their melodies. For automation, the data is now recorded as jumps instead of ramps for better response time and further control.
