Behringer shares post claiming that many media outlets and influencers no longer support them

Home Tech Tech News Behringer shares post claiming that many media outlets and influencers no longer support them

The audio developers and technicians at Behringer have long been renowned for their quality products and instruments that have been a staple of music creators and engineers for years. Now it seems that the company may have upset a few individuals and members of the media with some of their attitudes and policies regarding interacting with influencers.

For many artists and brands, social media and the influencers of the internet are literally the gatekeepers of what succeeds and fails, whats cool and whats not, and what other members of their community should be following and engaging in. Inluencers and media outlets have incredible sway in consumer choices and product visibility so company’s will often give early access to new content or provide free products to help ensure positive relationships and reviews of their offerings. The team at Behringer has opted to go in a different direction, relying on the quality of their products and loyalty of users while refusing to provide complimentary products or even paying for ads in media outlets.

In a lengthy post to Facebook, the company called out those who have taken issue with the company’s attitude toward such forms of promotion:

Many media outlets and “influencers” have decided not to support us anymore, because we don’t pay for ads, don’t provide free products for reviews or they simply don’t like us for whatever reason. In all fairness, there are also many other outlets that share our content or review our products in an unbiased and honest manner, because they do what is best for you, the customer. We truly appreciate those people and we’re happy to support and feature them on our channels.
The company goes on to thank their loyal customers and the many media outlets who do support them and their work, as well as mention how much they appreciate engaging directly with consumers. To that end, they recommend anyone truly interested in staying up to date with the company’s offerings and providing sound feedback should join the Synthesizer and Drums Behringer Music Tribe (Official) group on Facebook.
