Fred again.. and Baby Keem join forces on a new collab “leavemealone”: Listen
Fred again.. presents fans with an anticipated drum and bass single that features samples from Baby Keem’s “South Africa” and “Bullies” from his “Melodic Blue” and debut “Die For My Bitch” albums.
GRAMMY-nominated producer Fred again.. has been teasing his new collaboration with Baby Keem ‘leavemealone’ throughout his shows including his latest at The Warehouse Project curated by Skrillex where they closed out the set. Fred again.. has set a new standard in the electronic music scene by fusing hip-hop and rap samples into euphoric and energetic dance music productions.
‘leavemealone’ is quite a huge contrast in production and style compared to Fred again..’s most recent releases such as ‘ten‘ and ‘adore u‘. ‘Fred ventures into a darker aspect of his body of work with punchy basslines and catchy drum patterns following through with quite an atmospheric and eerie effect in the background while the main focus is shining on the vocal samples from ‘Baby Keem’s’ “South Africa” & “Bullies” tracks.
The collaboration with Baby Keem also features some huge writing credits from his fellow producer friends Skrillex and Four Tet. Fans can notice some elements in this track that the producers offer to present in ‘leavemealone’ with Skrillex basses and Four Tet’s ambiance elements. ‘Fred again..’ also manages to include a sneaky sample from ‘sabrina (i am a party)’ from his first ever ‘Actual Life’ series at the end of the track.
In June, Fred made his Glastonbury debut, drawing one of the largest crowds in the history of the Other Stage. Following this success, he achieved a remarkable feat by selling out five shows at London’s Alexandra Palace within just one week in early September. This achievement was further amplified by a sold-out European tour. Subsequently, Fred headed to the United States, where he played three sold-out shows at NY’s Forest Hills Stadium and an additional nine sold-out shows at LA’s Shrine Expo Hall. More recently, Fred received four GRAMMY nominations, including Best New Artist, Best Dance/Electronic Album for Actual Life 3, and Best Dance/Electronic Recording for “Rumble” with Skrillex and Flowdan, as well as “Strong” with Romy.
